This makes me soooo sad....
A tumbledown old house I know.
Beside it´s doorstep burdocks grow,
it´s narrow windows seem to wince,
As if it grieves and weeps long since,
As if it were already tired,
Of early, beggarly affire.
A cross and well-pole lean outside,
the fence is almost nullified.
Caved in and crooked, poorly thatched,
The roof still hangs, repaired and patched.
The strw upon it sticking out,
Quite often torn by storms, no doubt.
Where noisy feet at balls once leapt,
The floo now creaks, unwashed, unsweept,
Where youthful joy once sang, divine,
Dry willows, bent,the pathway line,
The yard´s in a neglected state,
Long since no dog barks at the gate.
A tumbledown old house I know,
is left here all alone,
This is something which makes me so sad.
Why do they treat it so bad???
This house on the pictures above, once belonged to the family of my aunt.
Now, no-one lives in it anymore....and these things make me sad!
Those very old, big, beautiful, tumbledown houses...
And now, enough sadness! I´m gonna make me a cup of tea,
Wishing you all a wonderful week!!!
